Psychic met with critical acclaim upon release, with The New York Times labeling it “the soundtrack to a lost David Lynch sci-fi movie” and Pitchfork calling the album, “a declaration of psychedelic liberation.” The record was a springboard for the duo’s immersive and improvisatory live shows, which toured throughout the globe until a hiatus beginning in 2014.
Six years later, DARKSIDE resumed activity, releasing a second album, Spiral.
Today, the band has expanded to a trio, featuring Harrington, Jaar, and drummer Tlacael Esparza. In June 2023, DARKSIDE released Live From Spiral House, a set of recordings documenting rehearsals for the group’s return to the stage.

John Talabot occupies a fairly unique position in the current electronic landscape. A space he has carved himself by staying true to an artistic vision that is broad in its scope and specific in its convictions. His open-minded approach to making, collecting and playing music allows him to be just as comfortable on the main stage of a great summer festival as in a small local club, earning the following of both the occasional fan and the demanding connoisseur along the way.
Today, he keeps pushing the envelope, following instincts rather than stratagems. To do so he favors a continuous dialogue with like-minded artists. His alliance with Axel Boman in Talaboman has just birthed a new label and his Lost Scripts duo with Pional keeps delivering sparkles of brilliance, but those are just two of the several joint projects he currently has in play. Some might be announced soon, some might never see the light of day, but most important: they keep ideas flowing. A need for discovery that also defines his tireless search for music, making him one of those rare DJs that can effortlessly juxtapose efficacy, risk, and revelation. His all nighter sets are hard to forget, with notable examples in venues and festivals such as Sónar, Pickle Factory, Moog or the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow. Moreover playing music, his curational endeavors keep expanding, having commissioned stages in festivals such as Primavera Sound or Nuits Sonores or bringing his Hivern Discs label’s nights to clubs around Europe.

Kali Malone composes with a clarity of vision. Her music is patient and focused, built on a foundation of evolving harmonic cycles that draw out latent emotional resonances; letting go of expectations of duration and breadth offers a space for reflection and contemplation. In her hands, experimental reinterpretations of centuries-old polyphonic compositional methods and historical tuning systems become portals to new ways of perceiving sound, structure, and introspection.
Malone’s music for pipe organ, choir, chamber music ensembles, and electroacoustic formats has quickly risen to international critical acclaim. She has performed extensively, presenting her music at Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Philharmonie de Paris, Venice Biennale, Radio France, Rockefeller Chapel, Grace Cathedral, The Southbank Center, Bozar, Schauspielhaus, Berghain, Unsound Festival, Berlin Atonal, and Kanal Pompidou amongst many other museums, contemporary art spaces, concert halls, churches, and festivals throughout Europe, North America, Japan and Australia. Guatemalan cellist and composer, Mabe Fratti released Se Ve Desde Aquí (It Is Seen From Here) on October 14, 2022, on Unheard of Hope. The album is a decisive shift away from Fratti’s most recent works, which were more enigmatic in tone. The rich, multi-layered arrangements heard on 2021’s acclaimed long player, Será que ahora podremos entendernos and collaborations such as Let’s Talk About The Weather with Malaria legend and Monika supremo Gudrun Gut, created a mystery around Fratti which reveal only certain aspects of this affable musician’s character.
Mabe Fratti is always on the lookout for new ways to express herself and to reflect her surroundings, she sees this as a process of continual “sonic transformation”.
