ARCA
Arca, Alejandra Ghersi, carves a blazing path through the zeitgeist: musician, diva, philosopher, fashion plate, party girl, technologist, Ghersi – a Latin chanteuse nonbinary trans woman. Her liquid nature has allowed to work for Björk, Kanye, and FKA twigs; composed for Museum of Modern Art and a retro gaming console; DJed Frank Ocean’s PREP+ party; and performed at a Burberry runway show for Riccardo Tisci. Arca the beatmaker grabbed the attention in 2012 with the ‘Stretch’ 1 & 2 EPs, her mischievous mind reverse-engineering contemporary pop and re-coding it in her own image. In 2019 she debuted at The Shed with ‘Mutant:Faith’, the four-night performance piece that transformed her body into an instrument in ways never been tried before. Her Grammy-nominated 2020 album ‘KiCK’ i is a hologram holding all of her musical identities in a state of simultaneous superimposition. Released the following year, ‘KiCK II’ to IIIII, represents the evolution of the shapeshifting musical worldbuilding of Arca’s identities. This year marks her return to C2C Festival in Turin after 2 years.

BADBADNOTGOOD
BADBADNOTGOOD, the four-piece, Toronto-bred jazz outfit that has melded instrumental hip-hop with jazz improvisation and spacey electronica ranks among one of the most anticipated live acts at this year’s C2C. With collaborations including household names like Kendrick Lamar, Tyler, The Creator, Frank Ocean, MF Doom and Pharaoh Monch, BBNG have distinguished themselves as the group leading a new generation of jazz musicians. Since forming in 2010, instead of working with traditional jazz standards, the group sidestepped and drew from hip hop and other contemporary genres to create a unique sound rooted in Black American music. Their latest album, ‘Talk Memory’, demonstrates them going back to their instrumental beginnings. Instead of looking at the now, they reflected the history and innovation of those that influenced them.

CHANEL BEADS
Chanel Beads, the project centred on Shane Lavers, emerges as a key figure of the New York DIY scene, whose intersecting influences meet in an intimate, psychotropic art pop. Since his first few singles and EP’s, he has incorporated into his music the scrappy sonic imagery of post-punk, the gripping sentimentality of pop tunes, and the spectral artifice of electronic music. In 2024 he released his first album ‘Your Day Will Come’, where he continues to craft unique and unconventional song structures that build into transcendental climaxes. He will make his Italian debut at this edition of C2C Festival.

CHUQUIMAMANI-CONDORI PRESENTS DJ E
Chuquimamani-Condori is a Pakajaqueño Aymara artist born in California’s Inland Empire. The folding of past and present, indigenous and American, is a feature across her work which fuses traditional drum and ceremonial music with vivid synths, warped folk melodies, dense noise and fragments of pop music. For more than a decade, they have been one of the leading figures in the electronic underground scene, and recently awarded a Silver Lion at Venice Biennale Musica. Following last year’s memorable performance alongside brother Joshua Chuquimia Crampton as Los Thuthanaka, in 2026 Chuquimamani-Condori will come back to Turin as DJ E, delivering a boundary-liquefying DJ set that combines sonic cacophony, astonishing emotional vulnerability, and a raw overload of textures. An unpredictable set which liquidates the distinction between tradition and futurity, chaos and communion.
