Jolly Mare is the discographic project by Fabrizio Martina, gaining respect in the international electronic scene thanks to his reworking of Italian-flavored disco and boogie.
Discovered by Gilles Peterson who fell in love with his “Riviera Hotel”, in 2016 he published his debut album for Bastard Jazz Recordings U.S., boasting support from Soul Clap, Rob da Bank, Alexander Barck (Jazzanova) and Tom Middleton, who defined him as the “New Italo Disco and Tech Funk Maestro”. With success from public and critics, European Independent Music Company Association enlisted “Mechanics” as one of the 25 best albums of the 2016 alongside Blood Orange, Radiohead and Danny Brown works.
Former Red Bull Music Academy alumni, he was honored to perform along Roy Ayers at the anniversary party of Masters At Work in NYC. He collaborated with enlightened musicians like Thundercat (Flying Lotus’s bassist) and Roy Paci.
