Palestine Underground documents the resilience of the emerging music scene against the political restrictions, building connections through a shared sound and identity. Muqata’a is locally known as the father of the underground hip-hop scene in Ramallah, a city in the West Bank, Palestine. A former member of the acclaimed collective Ramallah Underground, Muqata’a features in his documentary the rising dance subculture that is spreading across the region as a self-affirmation political act agains an intransigent system.
