Lingotto

Memory of a recent industrial past that played a key role in building the identity of Turin, Lingotto still stands out as a unique icon of architectural modernity in the urban landscape. Originally conceived in the early 20th century as one of the main plants of a flourishing FIAT -the most important Italian car manufacturer-, the complex of plants has been radically transformed by architect Renzo Piano and is now a multifunctional building.
Crucial venue of the Turinese manufacturing tradition, Lingotto embodies the indissolubly industrial soul of the city.
