Created in 2013 by Club To Club Festival for the British Council -the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations-, A Great Symphony For Torino is an exclusive augmented reality soundtrack: under the artistic direction of Kode9, a British musician and producer who contributed through his Hyperdub label to some of the most adventurous productions in the recent history of electronic music, Hyperdub key player DVA and young talented local musicians have composed six tracks dedicated to as many city landmarks by using only sounds from the locations. To the six new tracks composed for its second edition, Kode9 adds a seventh one, an unreleased remix of all other tracks, thus contributing himself in creating a work of contemporary electronic music that’s able to tell the city’s pace and to catch its mood.
