For the third consecutive year, Alfa Romeo MiTo Club To Club will host a special preview event in London, The Italian New Wave.
The Italian New Wave showcases the freshest names in the flourishing Italian contemporary music scene, and sees an all-Italian lineup joined by international artists at Village Underground.
On Thursday 18th September, four acts will take the stage: the international guests are Kuwaiti visual artist Fatima Al Qadiri, who released her first full length Asiatisch on Hyperdub earlier this year, and her label mate Laurel Halo, author of an unpredictable mixture of hardware pulse, ambience and sampling. Representing Italy are Turin-based producer Daniele Mana aka Vaghe Stelle with his blend of pneumatic grime and R&B and performing artist Nico Vascellari’s noise-batucada outfit Ninos Du Brasil.
The Italian New Wave is presented by Alfa MiTo Club To Club and Field Day: after the collaborative event with Field Day which took place in Turin last spring, the East London festival organiser lends support to the London date and will also co-present the festival’s main stage in Italy on Friday 7th November.
