French-born, Berlin-based producer Hermione Frank describes her production as "mercyless house music": it is in fact an intriguing, one-off blend of contrasting textures – organic and synthetic, icy and warm – a fresh step in dance music.
Growing up in Montpellier, Frank was exposed to the jazz classics by her father, before she started to hone her production skills in an unused garage. She collaborated with many artists in many cities before settling in Berlin and focusing on the solo project under the moniker rRoxymore, debuting in 2012 with the epic 10-minute “Wheel of Fortune“, half of split with Planningtorock on his label Human Level.
The electronic undergroun of Berlin, where she performs regularly at local favourites About Blank and Panorama Bar and hosts the radio show Connecting Dots for Berlin Community Radio, was conducive of fruitful collaborations with the likes of Paula Temple, Oni Ayhun (Olof Dreijer from The Kife’s solo project) and Aquarian Jugs (Planningtorock under a different name).
2016 saw her working on different projects like the Karachi Files, a two-week production and performance project with musicians from Pakistan, the Maldives and Germany, and the release of her third solo EP , ‘Organ Smith‘, via the English label Don’t be Afraid.
