Discover Valle d’Itria

VIVA! takes you to one of the most evocative areas of the South of Italy

Valle d'Itria is the portion of the territory in central Apulia which encompasses the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto.

Its heart coincides with the karst depression extending between the towns of Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca, but Valle d’Itria also embraces the edges of the towns of Alberobello, Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica.

Valle d’Itria is dotted with characteristic architectural elements: “trulli”, typical, unique cone-shaped stone houses, “masserie”, old manor houses, the stone walls, dense web of limestone partitioning the land into small plots of red earth, and the immaculate ancient villages that rise on the hills.
